Aging
Resource Centers
Aging Resource Centers help people 60 years or older and their loved
ones to find information, agencies and resources on a variety of
issues, including housing, home care, meals, transportation and other
vital areas of concern |
Aging Disability and Resource Center
Some of the Aging Resource Centers (mentioned above) also provide services to adults aged 18 and older,
as well as seniors, who have a severe and persistent mental illness as well as services for adults aged 50
and older who have a developmental disability. The centers in Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Ft. Lauderdale
provide information and referral to adults with mental illness while the centers in St. Petersburg and Ft. Myers
provide information and referral for adults 50 years and older with developmental disabilities. For further

Council on Aging
For people 55 years or older, the National Council on Aging has a
website that provides referrals to government programs that may help
with the cost of prescription drugs, health care, rent, utilities,
property taxes, meals, and other needs. You can complete a brief
questionnaire on the website and obtain a report on all the programs
you might be eligible for and instructions how to enroll. |
